How much distance should I have between the wall and floor?

The wall distance is important for your floor to be able to shrink and swell during our different seasons. We recommend always having a gap of 1.5 mm per width meter, we also call this wall distance.

Calculation example: A room that is 5 m wide must be calculated 5 x 1.5 = 7.5 mm. Thus, the wall distance around the entire room should be 7.5 mm. Tip: Use spacer wedges that correspond to your wall distance during installation and you will get a perfect result.
