Bjelin is part of Pervanovo Invest AB, a family-owned business started by the Pervan family.
The group’s story began in 1993 with the founding of Välinge Innovation AB, the company that first invented and patented the famous click floor.
In recent years, Pervanovo has grown beyond technology development and licensing, expanding into large-scale flooring production under the Bjelin brand. The group is also active in tourism and property management and continues to thrive across multiple industries.

Välinge Innovation is a global leader in technical advancements for the flooring and furniture industries. Founded in 1993, Välinge revolutionised the industry by inventing the first mechanical locking system for floors, simplifying installation without the need for glue or nails – a game-changing advancement that continues to shape flooring today.
With over 3,500 patents, Välinge licenses its innovative technologies to hundreds of companies worldwide. All development is carried out at its cutting-edge facility in Viken, which is considered the most advanced R&D centre for flooring technology in the world. Through close collaboration, Bjelin brings Välinge’s cutting-edge innovations to life, crafting floors that combine tradition with modern technology.
With multiple factories in Croatia, we have access to Europe’s largest continuous oak forest, Spačva. This is included in the 36% of Croatia covered by forests. Encompassing 39,789 hectares and holding FSC certification, it constitutes a fifth of all Croatian oak forests.
For our flooring production, we rely on the expertise of highly skilled professionals who have honed their craft in the region for generations, traditionally refining the renowned Slavonic oak into wine barrels. Today, they bring that same dedication to producing premium Bjelin floors, ensuring exceptional quality and durability.
We design and manufacture our floors in-house at state-of-the-art factories in Sweden and Croatia, using high-quality FSC-certified wood. Our newest facility, Ogulin 2 in Croatia, is set to become the largest wood flooring production site in the world, with a planned capacity of millions of square meters annually. Specialising in Woodura hardened wood floors, Ogulin 2 utilises Välinge’s ground-breaking technology for large-scale production.
Situated on a vast 330,000 sqm plot along the motorway between Zagreb and Split, this plant is the hub of Bjelin’s European operations. Production will significantly expand with new lines dedicated to both Woodura hardened wood flooring and core materials, positioning us as an industry leader in innovative flooring solutions.
The Ogulin 1 plant is a key player, specialising in planks, three-strip parquet and parquet strips for herringbone installations. Upcoming investments are set to elevate capacity considerably, ensuring we meet the growing demand for high-quality flooring solutions.
This facility features its own sawmill, where we saw and dry logs in modern kilns, transforming them into lamellas for the middle layer of our parquet flooring. The top lamellas are crafted at our Bjelovar factory. Additionally, we prioritise sustainability by repurposing sawdust and wood waste as raw materials for our pellet and briquet production.
Bjelin Spačva in Vinkovci is our largest facility for processing raw materials, strategically located at the edge of the renowned Spačva forest. This factory has its own sawmill and produces oak veneer, lamellas for parquet floors, and solid laminated wooden boards of oak and ash.
We also utilise sawdust and other wood waste for the large-scale production of wood pellets for bioenergy, and to further enhance our eco-friendly operations, we aim to generate a significant portion of our electricity with solar panels on the factory roofs.
As part of our commitment to excellence, Bjelin Spacva, together with our other facility, Bjelin Otok, positions us as Europe’s leading manufacturer of oak veneers, serving both the flooring and furniture industries.
The top-layer lamellas for our parquet flooring are crafted at our Bjelovar plant, which includes an advanced sawmill. FSC-certified oak logs are carefully sawn, dried in modern kilns, and processed into high-quality lamellas, ensuring the perfect top layer for parquet flooring. These lamellas are shipped to our Ogulin 1 facility or supplied to other flooring manufacturers.
With the completion of a new sawmill in 2021, production capacity has significantly increased, allowing us to meet the growing demand for premium oak lamellas used in parquet flooring.
Bjelin Otok, located in the heart of Croatia’s Spačva forest, specialises in producing high-quality oak veneer for our long and wide hardened wood floors. Bjelin Otok is one of the most advanced veneer production plants in Europe, recognised for its extremely high standard of oak veneer.
Otok has optimised its production process to craft specialised veneers, featuring a splicing line that seamlessly bonds individual sheets into larger panels. These oak veneer sheets are then efficiently utilised in our pressing lines, enabling the production of millions of square meters of our Woodura hardened wood flooring.
Spin Valis, a recent addition to the Bjelin family, is one of Croatia’s leading producers of solid wood furniture, located in Požega. Known for its craftsmanship, the facility also produces high-quality briquettes and glued wood panels, catering to both local and international markets.
In line with Bjelin’s commitment to sustainability, Spin Valis utilises renewable energy sources. The plant generates electricity and thermal energy through biomass and solar panels, ensuring environmentally responsible production.
The state-of-the-art factory in Viken, Sweden, is designed for the large-scale production of Woodura hardened wood floors. With advanced technology and a streamlined production process, this facility can produce millions of square meters of flooring annually, making it one of the most efficient and high-capacity plants.
This factory plays a key role in meeting the growing demand for Woodura hardened wood floors, which are famous for their strength, durability and sustainability. By combining cutting-edge innovation with large-scale production capabilities, the Viken facility is central to Bjelin’s mission of delivering high-quality, wood floors to homes and businesses worldwide.
