This grading has a natural colour and fine grain without any major variations in colour. It may contain a small number of small, healthy knots.
Nature
This grading generally has a fine grain with natural variations in colour, graining and texture. It may contain a small number of large, healthy knots, cracks and small dark knots. Sapwood may also occur on one long side of the plank and it may have filled cracks.
Mixed
This grading can have a lively variation in colour, grain and texture. Some discolouration may also occur. Sapwood, prominent medullary rays and bark pockets may occur to a lesser extent. A limited number of large, healthy knots and cracks, dark knots and filled cracks and collections of pin knots may also occur. It may also contain a few knot holes of limited size, as well as a few filled cracks.
Country
This grading has a lively variation in colour and grain. Healthy knots and bark pockets of all sizes may be present, as well as collections of small knots (burring). Sapwood can occur on both long sides of the planks. Medullary rays and filled cracks may occur on most of the planks.

This grading has a very lively variation in colour and grain. It may contain many healthy knots of all sizes and large, cracked and filled knots, together with collections of small knots (burring). Sapwood can occur on both long sides of the planks. Medullary rays, bark pockets and cracks may be present

This grading has a grain with calm variations in colour and texture. Small, healthy knots may occur.

This grading has a very lively variation in colour and grain. Many healthy knots of all sizes, as well as larger, cracked and dark knots, may be present, together with collections of small knots (burring). Sapwood can occur on both long sides of the plank. Medullary rays, bark pockets and cracks may be present.
