My dog / cat has urinated on the floor, and it has left a stain! What can I do?

The problem with urine is that it contains ammonia and is very strong, so it penetrates quickly into the floor and creates ugly stains that do not go away.

Try to dry out the stain as much as possible and see if it softens slightly when dry. If this does not help, you can try to spot clean the stain carefully with the cleaning agents recommended according to the care instructions for the floor.

You can also gently try to bleach any dark spot with oxalic acid.

If the stain still does not go away, it has had time to penetrate too far into the wooden floor and the solution will then be to replace the affected planks.
