Tiles in Ceramic Wood Composite

Warm like wood and stronger than ceramic tiles

When was the last time you experienced something new in the world of flooring?

For a very long time, conventional ceramic floor and tiles have been used as flooring materials, mainly because of their attractive appearance and high durability.

However, ceramic tiles are cold, difficult to install and will easily crack if a heavy object is dropped on them.

Bjelin’s new floor tiles, with a wear layer consisting of the Nadura material, invented and patented by Bjelin’s sister company Välinge Innovation AB, eliminates all such disadvantages.

Bjelin’s ceramic wood composite tiles are extremely easy to install, as warm as wood and stronger than ceramic tiles. They are therefore particularly suitable for installations in entrances, kitchens, conservatories and in public premises such as shops and restaurants.

What is Nadura?

Nadura is a powder mix consisting of wood fibre, binding agent, ceramic particles and colour pigments, which are cured together under high temperature and high pressure.

The surface structure is formed with structured press plates and the decor with colored wood particles that are applied with 3D technology. During the pressing, the surface layer is compressed and hardened as well as the upper part of the core material, which gives a considerably higher moisture resistance.

Nadura is formed into thin layers that are fused together with a wood-based core material. The main advantage is that only the upper part, which is exposed to impact and wear, is a strong ceramic material reinforced with ceramic wear particles and is thus very environmentally friendly compared to a ceramic floor or vinyl floor.

All Bjelin Ceramic Composite Tiles have an advanced Välinge 2G/5G locking system. This allows for easy and floating installations of large floor surfaces without the need for expansion joints.

Extremely tough flooring

With its patented solid surface, Nadura provides a high level of wear and impact resistance that is superior to traditional floors.

The floors are robust and durable, made to withstand both everyday and extreme situations.

With its strength and versatility, ceramic composite is an excellent alternative to other flooring types such as ceramics, stone and porcelain. Especially since it offers easier and significantly more efficient installation.

2. High-quality, moisture-resistant HDF-board

3. Powder stabilising layer

Environmentally friendly high-quality production

Bjelin composite flooring is manufactured by Välinge Innovation AB in new advanced state-of-the-art factories in Viken, Sweden. This guarantees high-quality products as we have control over all manufacturing steps from powder production to pressing and profiling.

The manufacturing is very environmentally friendly. Wood particles from production are recycled and used in powder production. Energy consumption is low as forming the Nadura top layer takes a much shorter time and is done at a much lower temperature than what is needed in conventional ceramic tile production.
