The colour you choose for your floor will influence the overall style, character and atmosphere of the space. You can transform a room into something bright, airy and contemporary by choosing a light floor, or go with a darker wood tone for a sophisticated style that adds character.
The herringbone parquet comes in everything from very light wood tones, such as Powder White, through natural tones that add warmth – and all the way to the deepest tone, Shadow Brown.
Select your ideal grading
In addition to colour, you will also be able to choose a grading for your floor, which refers to the variation in the floor’s surface appearance. We offer two gradings for our herringbone parquet floors – a Select grading, with few colour variations and visible knots, which is ideal for creating a minimalist and modern look, and a Rustic grading that provides a powerful sense of wood with lively grains and contrasts, adding personality and charm to a room.
The finishing touch is the matt lacquer surface treatment, which elegantly accentuates both the grading and colour.
Easy to install with perfect results
It has never been easier to lay a herringbone parquet, or faster. Patented 5G click technology by Bjelin’s sister company Välinge Innovation makes installation quick and easy, whether you plan to do the installation yourself or want to minimise the project time when hiring a professional.
The herringbone parquet comes in two versions: A and B strips, each clearly marked on the back of the strips and the package. To create the herringbone pattern, both A and B strips are required.
Effortless floating installation
Bjelin’s herringbone parquet floor has been developed to be installed floating, which means it doesn’t require gluing or nailing to the underlying surface and reduces issues of doming, creaking and gaps between the strips, sometimes associated with traditionally installed herringbone parquet.

Reduce the project time significantly with our pre-assembled starting triangles. Designed specifically for our Parquet Herringbone flooring, these ready-to-use triangles ensure a quicker and smoother installation process.
